The Lava Boat Tour

One of the most truly awesome things to do in our area is take the Lava Boat tour to see the molten lava flowing into the ocean.

You catch the boat just down the road (1.2 miles from the Bamboo House) at Isaac Hale Beach State Park.

For $125 per person they take you out on a boat that leaves at 5 am (in the dark). You motor down the coast line about 45 minutes to where the lava is flowing into the ocean and you'll experience the brilliant flow in the dark. As the sun rises, you see its ever changing magnificence. You land back at Isacc Hale Beach at about 8.30 am.

There are a few different operators in the area. Lavaroy.com 808-883-1122 and Lobo Del Mar 808-937-7977 are a couple. If you tell them you are staying just up the road, they will give you the kamaina discount (which is the locals discount).
Please call a few days ahead of when you'd like to go to find out if the lava is flowing and to make your reservation.

Don't miss this spectacular trip!

Aloha, Catherine
