POLICIES

Reservation/Security Deposit

We take a $250 ($500/month or longer stay) reservation deposit that you send back in with the paperwork when you book the Bamboo House. The $250 holds your reservation and then turns into a security deposit when you check-in. It is refunded within 2 weeks of your departure date providing there's been no damage or loss to the house.
The deposit is separate from the rental fee.

Paperwork

We ask everyone who rents the Bamboo House to sign a legal rental agreement, read and sign a rules sheet and fill out a list of guests names and cars that will be on the property overnight. We also ask for a copy of your drivers license. We do this so everyone understands what to expect when they vacation at the Bamboo House.

Cancellations/Refunds

A 30 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty days prior the the arrival date will incur no penalty. After this, every attempt will be made to re-rent your time slot. If we CAN re-rent it, a full refund minus any discount that had to be made to re-rent it will be refunded to you. If we CANNOT re-rent your time slot, cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 15 to 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full payment and reservation/security deposit. Cancellations made between 15 days to the day of the arrival date forfeit the full advance payment (not the security deposit). Cancellation or early departure after check-in does not warant any refund of rent (the security deposit is refundable).

Age

Due to insurance restrictions, we can not rent to anyone under the age of 25 without a parent or legal guardian present and staying at the house with them for the term of the rental.

No Land Line Phone Service

The Bamboo House does not have a land line telephone (like all homes in this area). Guests own T-Mobile and AT&T mobile phones will get service on the property. Guests will be responsible for knowing the address of the Bamboo House at Hokule'a Retreat in case of emergency personnel having to be called (paramedics or firemen).
